About The Consulate General of Saint Lucia

Our Role:

The Consulate General of Saint Lucia represents the interests of Saint Lucian citizens and the Government of Saint Lucia in the French Territories. Our mission is to promote bilateral cooperation, protect the rights of nationals, and strengthen cultural, health, and regional development ties. 


The Consulate General of Saint Lucia operates in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, serving as an official representative of the Government and people of Saint Lucia within its designated territory. The Consulate safeguards the interests and welfare of Saint Lucian citizens and promotes constructive engagement with host communities throughout Martinique, Guadeloupe, and French Guiana. 


The Consulate General facilitates diplomatic and logistical support for this cooperation but does not manage or control the appointment process. However, nationals encountering administrative or linguistic challenges may reach out to the Consulate for non-medical assistance related to their travel, documentation, or stay. 


Our work includes:

  • Providing essential consular services to nationals
  • Strengthening diplomatic and cultural ties
  • Facilitating cooperation in areas such as education, health, and trade, and offering ongoing 
  • Support to Saint Lucian communities abroad


Jurisdiction:

The Consulate’s jurisdiction covers Martinique where the headquarters is located in Fort-de-France, along with Guadeloupe and French Guiana, where outreach missions are conducted twice yearly to ensure accessible and effective service to all nationals across the region.


The Vienna Convention on Consular Relations is an international treaty that defines a framework for consular relations between sovereign states. It codifies many consular practices that originated from state custom and various bilateral agreements between states. Refer to the Vienna Convention
